Baylor Men's Basketball to Face UConn in Final Big East-Big 12 Challenge

Baylor has reportedly drawn back-to-back defending champions UConn in the 2024 edition of the Big East-Big12 Battle per Jon Rothstein.

Scott Drew’s Bears will get one of the best road tests in the nation during non-conference next season in the last year of this conference challenge. 

This will be just the second time these programs face off with the Bears losing the first meeting 96-88 in 1965.

Now the men’s programs can look to get in on the high-level grudge match that has highlighted seasons of women’s basketball ten times since 2010.

The other matchups in the battle include:

• Kansas at Creighton
• Butler at Houston
• Marquette at Iowa State
• Kansas State at St. Johns
• Xavier at TCU
• Cincinnati at Villanova
• BYU at Providence
• Oklahoma State at Seton Hall
• Georgetown at West Virginia
• DePaul at Texas Tech

Adding those ten games to Baylor at UConn, five Big 12 teams are left out. Those teams are UCF and the four newest members Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah.
