Southlake (TX) Carroll 2026 RB Davis Penn Commits to Baylor

Southlake (TX) Carroll High School 2026 running back Davis Penn‍ has committed to Baylor. He becomes the first commit in Baylor’s 2026 recruiting class.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound prospect impressed Khenon Hall and the rest of the staff following his performance on Saturday at Baylor’s first camp of the summer. He was offered immediately following the camp.

Penn posted 1,594 yards and 30 touchdowns on 160 carries to go along with 101 yards receiving during his breakout sophomore season. He was named District 4-6A, Dallas Morning News, and Fort Worth Star Telegram Newcomer of the Year.

On3 has him rated as an 89-overall, three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 210 prospect in the nation and No. 27 in the state of Texas. 247 gave him a low grade of an 86-overall, three-star prospect in his initial ranking recently.

He chose Baylor over offers from Wisconsin, Arizona State, Texas State, and Toledo.

I've seen him play many games. He's legit! This is a big get for the Bears! Great receiver out of the backfield, too.
