College Basketball Should Add More Games

It was always about money. But somehow, it’s even more about money than ever. If a school doesn’t have high-level donors giving significant amounts of money, it can’t compete. And if a school falls behind in one of the major sports, it’s in trouble of a death spiral where it never comes back to reality.

Let's remember these are suppose to be Student Athletes … having to play 3 games a week might be ok from a physical conditioning perspective but it would be a real burden on the athletes from a class room perspective even if they only carry 8 to 12 hours. If you want more games I think you would have to extend the season either at the front end or back end. The end of March Madness … I don't think so.

They could definitely start earlier. The problem, of course, is that then you're just in the middle of college football.

College basketball starts in November. It's already the middle of cfb or, more precisely, the tale end of the regular season. But postseason stretches into two weeks or more of January in the middle of MBB & WBB.
