Reminds me when we had Solomon on the team and started him. By the time we got him he was damaged goods. Oh and Jalen Mclendon that dude was ass too.

I was trying to think of how to say it but you just said better than what I was thinking. I know Utah's D is a heck of a lot better than this Air Force D, but you can see the confidence and control Robertson instills in this offense that Finn didn't. Yeah, I know some of Finn's issues were that it was the first couple of games of the season but Sawyer gives us more opportunity to cover some of our offensive weaknesses that Finn doesn't appear to be able to give.

It's bs that Finn was named starter. Sawyer is clearly heads and shoulders above him. And Washington is a stud as advertised.

The skill players are really flashing here. Washington, Ole misd TE, Hawkins all are good fb players.

Disappointed Baldwin and Ketron just aren't getting separation. Reese also needs to be package specific only the 1 yr runs are killing the momentum and play package.

Let's be real. Finn likely was only the starter for:

1) his playing experience and seniority
2) he got paid more than Robertson just to transfer here

We are learning that you need to play (and pay) the correct guys who win the job. Not who you paid the most.

Yep had to be a nil thing to get a backup etc. Maybe he better than 3rd string but DF can't make half these throws for all the positives he brings

That's not uncommon with transfers, though. And fortunately for us/unfortunately for him, the injury allowed us to rectify the situation much more quickly than some teams do.

So glad Sawyer stayed when Finn came in back in the Spring.

Wonder if Dave had pressure to name Finn the starter with whatever NL we spent on him.

I'm pretty sure he's a G5 transfer.

EDIT: He is. He transferred to us from East Carolina after starting his career at UNC.

Cameron understands how to create separation. Sadly, several of the highly recruited receivers (because of their size and speed) don't.

I know we've been frustrated by the first quarter last week and the first half tonight, but this team is way better than last year's.

A bowl game is definitely possible.

The fact he's having to run the Defense and "HC" duties, obviously, someone is assisting in making decisions. No other HC in D1 ball is doing it. That alone just speaks of weakness.

Senior, I believe. He played two years at UNC and one at ECU.

uniforms with bear claw shoulders, a competent qb, a lead...feels like 2009-2015 all over again.

I've given up on Monaray as a difference-maker. He's just not reliable enough, and his body language is horrible when things aren't going his way.

But he does have talent. Hopefully, we can find a way to utilize it going forward.

I stand by my earlier point. I'm proud of this defense. It bent in the first half, but never broke. And now it's playing shut-down football.

Cameron was a given for me. He's one of the only proven guys so I didn't mention, but youre right.
