Unfortunately for the Bears moral victories don't get you into the post season.
Feels like making the tournament is starting to slip away. KU is a must win and I just don't see any path to beating them with 6 guys

I thought we should've called timeout with about 20 seconds left in OT. We looked lost on offense and
Byu took advantage and fouled us to preserve a lead no matter what on free throws.

Call timeout. Reset the offense. Maybe we get off a three that ties it.

We've gotten boat-raced in the first half by every good team we've played, UConn and St. John's excepted. Need to start fast on Saturday to have any shot at putting ourselves in solid position come Selection Sunday.

Terrible first half, energetic second half, rinse and repeat.

Game decided by:
1. Free throws
2. Omier getting 3 fouls and not being able to guard
3. Porous first half defense

Yet another loss.

Vj (not blaming the missed FT) and Wright the only reason they were in it. Give them the keys and play Roach in Nunns role as a scorer and spot up guy. He was good in that role at Duke.

Nunn and Celestine can give 15-20 solid minutes and ride it out. Lock Nunn in the gym for ball handling and ft shooting

Very good showing on the road before a tough crowd and an freshman shooting 100% from the floor (catchings is amazing). And, those six guys were worn out in OT. Proud of our team and coaches.

Gutty 2nd half come back to send it to OT, but again playing a crap 1st half was just enough to make it too steep of a hill to climb. Really sux because this was a very winnable road game.

Catchings is not "amazing." Before playing a team with no D (us), he was shooting a putrid 40% from the floor on mostly short range shots and 33% from 3.

Anyone know if there's any chance Roach is back for KU?
This 6.25 man rotation is just brutal.
Omier looks ill or hurt - something's off with his energy level.

I guess the silver lining is this team still has many chances for Quad 1 wins at home.
Hopefully Roach is back Saturday.

It's time to ride Vj with Roach playing off him with a focus on knocking down spot up shots and driving off close outs.

Wright can be handed the keys with some guardrails and ride that the rest of the year. Omier.. no clue what's up with him but need something to change quickly. If those three are playing ball and Roach settles into his old Duke role, they can still make the tournament.

And who knows how good Vj will be by then. Is close to a top 10/5 guy in the big 12 right now.

Agreed, VJ is playing at an absolute elite level and will have to carry us. Where are all the 5 star haters now? Some people on these boards were saying he is a developmental guy who should be benched? Their mouths are shut now.

Roach has been a bust and Omier hasn't been good for several games. Extremely disappointing for 5th year guys expected to carry us. Omier looks sluggish or worn down the past several games. Still have hope that Roach can give us something if we play him off the ball and let him focus on scoring.

Wright was nails in this one, gonna need him to play at this level to ride him along with VJ from here on out.

Omir continues to look more focused on pretending he has a shot and is getting drafted than being serious about playing for the team. It's becoming a more and more obvious problem and the coaches won't or just can't rope him back in to being a good contributor.

This team has a boatload of problems. Norchad is pretty far down the list of issues.
The staff failed him and Josh by not getting them a suitable back up big to spell them routinely
