Bella is among the most intelligent and best communicators our program has ever had. Not sure about her future plans, but I could see her growing into quite a force in a broadcaster's chair.

Ditto. Bella is an outstanding representative for Baylor. She may be the best player interview in the history of the program.

In a decade, I hope that we're looking back fondly on all the success of the Nikki Collen era. I hope we're talking about how challenging it was to take over after the Mulkey era, and how Collen was able to navigate those challenges and find her own success. In that reflection, I believe we'll look back at Buggs and Bella as the two most important recruits in Collen's career, because they were in the original recruiting class and they have become outstanding players, carrtying a great legacy forward.

I've been thinking about this quite a bit, and I agree. I think, however, the story about Bella and Buggs ten years from now will be different--regardless of how much success CNC haves in the next decade. (I hope its a lot.) Given NIL and the transfer portal, I think it's very possible the two of them will go down as the last BUWBB stars that fans were introduced to as Freshmen and grew to love over the course of a solid four-year career, and then said goodbye to with an emotional senior night.

This may be a pivotal point in CNC's career at BU. If she can finish the season and tournaments on a run she may turn the corner on building her own legacy at BU similar to Mulkey - who BTW is on the Naismith Women's Coach of the year list.
