With .500 record in Big 12, our metrics and SOS we are in the tournament. No sweating that any longer. The goal is to avoid Dayton and that avoidance would be sealed with 1 win in the conference tournament (unless we defied probabilities and beat UH).

Phew, got lucky to survive a brutal last 5 minutes. Still think we need 1 in KC to feel safe. But this game feels huge as far as our NCAA hopes
I think this win got them in the Tourney.
I guess if they get clobbered by UH at home and look crappy in a first round loss in the B12 tourney, that could make it iffy - especially if we see some bid stealers in the lesser conference championship tourneys.

I know this will sound crazy, but I actually think this team will give UH a tough game. BU will certainly need to shoot at least 50% FGs and make 8-10+ 3 pointers.

More likely scenario is they would just send us to Dayton for one of the play in games if that happened.

Houston has played a ton of really close games in conference. They could easily have 4-5 more losses. That said they win those games because they're that damn tough mentally. I just don't see any possible route to winning unless Baylor is unconscious from 3 and Houston is tossing up bricks. Not to mention I doubt Langston plays

Interested to hear Langston's status. Hopefully he can move Saturday but appreciate him at least staying out there today

Well said. That's a great summary.

Margin of victory doesn't matter if Houston clobbers us..just playing them will increase our SOS..

A loss to them won't bump us down..a win would probably move us up a seed line.

11 for 14 from the stripe and I can't really think of any missed easy layups. Both of those helped.

If anyone is looking for a nightcap… BYU and Iowa State are locking horns in a good one. They are in double overtime now.

BYU gets their first win in Ames. BYU moves past ISU in the standings and into 4th place.

Unexpected by all!

Makes the OT loss in Provo that much more painful, we had a really good chance to win that game. Would have been a big resume builder and likely moved us a seed or two up in the bracket.

BYU has been on a serious heater since our OT loss to them.
