ESSEN, Germany – Anytime head coach Scott Drew’s Team USA squad had a chance to cut into Lithuania’s seemingly impenetrable lead, it usually involved a missed free throw, 13 to be exact.

It wasn’t until the six-minute mark that Team USA finally broke through, tying the game at 59 apiece on a clutch triple from JJ White, who’s struggled with his shot all tournament but went 3-for-6 from deep in Thursday’s semifinal matchup.
