Frisco (TX) Lone Star 2027 athlete Karece Hoyt has committed to Baylor. He becomes the second commit in the 2027 recruiting class, joining four-star safety Davontrae Kirkland.

He chose Baylor over Michigan, Penn State, Texas A&M and Kansas State, which were the other schools in his top five.
Hoyt has built relationships with running backs coach Khenon Hall and linebackers coach Jamar Chaney. Both coaches immediately reached out to Hoyt when communication opened with the 2027 class back in June. He has strong connections with the rest of the coaching staff, established through multiple visits dating back to January 2024, when the Bears became his fourth Power Four offer.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect is off to a strong start this season as he has posted 232 yards and three touchdowns on 14 catches. Hoyt also has 50 carries for 377 yards and nine scores on the ground. On defense, he has six tackles and two interceptions on limited snaps.
Hoyt posted monster numbers at quarterback as a sophomore, finishing with 3,308 yards and 34 touchdowns as a passer, mixed with 1,547 yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground.
Hoyt holds an elite offer list from Arizona, Indiana, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Texas Tech, among others.
Currently, he is rated as a top 250 overall, four-star prospect on 247 Sports.
