Welcome to the post-week 11 edition of the SicEm365 Premium “Big 12 Power Poll”. Over the last few days, the awesome members of our Premium Forums had access to a simple form to rank the football teams of the Big 12 however they saw fit heading into week 12 of the 2025 season.
After taking a bye week from publishing this recap, here are the results for the week:
The biggest movers this week were Iowa State, BYU and Baylor. The Cyclones rode a win over TCU up to the No. 6 spot, while the Cougars and the Bears both dropped two spots. BYU lost to Texas Tech, which there is no shame in, but margins are small at the top. Meanwhile, Arizona beat Kansas, and apparently, Kansas State had a better bye week than Baylor to see the Bears down to the No. 11 spot.
For a closer look at how perceptions of each team have changed throughout the season, take a look at the “Week by Week” graph below.
The above graph offers some nice tiers if you look for consistent gaps of white. The bottom four teams have stayed in the bottom four for seven weeks now. The next four have seen minimal changes since week six, and we are finally starting to see Texas Tech, Utah, BYU and Cincinnati separate as a top four tier.
Also, if you’re someone who likes to dabble in simple statistics, I pulled the min, max and mode for each team. That is the top rank, bottom rank and most common ranking. I did not remove the top 5% and bottom 5% of placements for best, worst and most common here (but I did for the average rank, so sorry for any confusion).
This week's total responses bounced back to 24 from the season low of 21 we have had the last couple of weeks. The lack of interest in this project makes sense, as potential athletic department and coaching changes are all that is on anyone’s mind around Baylor.
Now, if you want even more numbers, I’ve got them. How about the differences between the post-week 10 rankings and the post-week 11 rankings?
With all of those numbers and charts and graphs provided to you, where do you draw the lines for tiers in the Big 12? Which teams are the premium members underestimating or overestimating currently?
One last question: how did the staff of SicEm365.com do with their rankings this week? Below is the full breakdown of our individual responses to the poll.
