Positives
- Twenty-one assists is a good number for Baylor. Obi Agbim, Dan Skillings and Isaac Williams IV each have five assists. Michael Rataj chipped in four assists.
- Offense for so many new pieces seems to be humming. Cameron Carr is such an efficient player. He ends up with 27 points on 13 shots. Billy Clyde Gillespie teams turn you over a lot (15). To get to almost 1.3 points per possession as a team shows how efficient this team is offensively.
- What a lift Williams is giving us off the bench. Another terrific night for him (16 points, 5 assists and no turnovers). He made a 3-pointer (1-1) and 3-4 from the foul line.
Needs Work
- The Bears got punked on the glass (34-21). The defensive rebounding stats are plummeting after a fast start. Too much ball watching.
- Sloppy with the ball (15 turnovers), way too many perimeter turnovers that were a result of not being strong with the ball.
- Communication on defense was lacking. Caden Powell, who had the flu, seemed to have an effect; Powell has elite communication skills.
