We've played 7 players and had 20 fouls called on us, yet no one has more than 3.

This team is balanced in all regards. Haha.

I was worried the first couple of games but now more and more I see why we went after him. His confidence and familiarity levels seem to be growing by the game and that's an exciting development.

When Yessefou focuses on getting to the rim, he's a tough guy to stop. He's eaten Sac State's lunch tonight.

That was funny… Glad he could laugh it off

They're different players, obviously, but Rataj's jack-of-all-trades game allows us to use him in similar ways that we used Sochan in his one year here. He can play point forward or run our offense from the high post because he's such a good passer.

He's not nearly as athletic as Jeremy was, but he's a similarly smart/crafty/skilled/versatile player.

Ok, I feel much better with the 2nd half defensive effort and we're on to Memphis next!

Memphis has been a giant disappointment. I was expecting that to be a nice test/good resume-builder when the schedule was announced, but they haven't held up their end of the bargain this season.

They played Purdue really tough. But yeah other than that they've looked bad. Might explain the ticket prices haha

Nice to see big shoring, including some garbage time for the white bench guys. But our D gave up 88. As noted, D was better in the second half (until late). Too many fouls & turnovers.

I don't worry too much about how we look defensively against the mid-majors because we've proven that we can raise our game to meet the level of competition.

And I don't really worry too much about giving up one of these gimme games because we've generally scored too much on those teams for them to keep up over the course of 40 minutes.

This team plays to the level of its opponent some, and hopefully that will level out some over the next five games. But as long as we're winning these games, we're good because there doesn't seem to be much carry over -- good or bad -- from game to game.

They're calling it both ways, but ridiculous number of fouls being called in this game.

Seems like well over half of the fouls are being called by the bald Black ref.

Apparently that was Antonio

Probably somebody else can give a more detailed answer, but as I understand it, it's a mysterious arm injury suffered in the off-season that involves possible nerve damage. To date, nobody can answer if he's gonna play this year, or if so, what the timeline is for his return.

He was riding an ATV and was involved in an accident that injured his wrist. He is structurally healthy, but he has nerve damage in his wrist. Nerve damage is tricky. The staff feels confident he will fully recover eventually, but the matter of when is the issue. Coach Drew said "it could be two weeks, it could be next year." That's consistent with nerve damage. He could wake up tomorrow and be good to go. He also could be out of action all season. It sucks to be in limbo - for us, for the coaching staff, and for Juslin.

Love the versatility of this team. We have a seamless 7 man rotation with so many skilled players who can fill different roles and niches both offensively and defensively. That said, with only a 7 man rotation our margin for error is razor thin. One more injury would spell disaster.

Simply do not understand why the defense is still this bad.

This team has good overall athletes. This team has good wingspan. Just not sure why the program is so snakebit when it comes to solid, sound, consistent defense. It will get better if/when a good rim protector comes in but that isn't the only issue here.

Would hope Sanchez has the green light to get after the team.

Love it when the end of the bench is able to get a few minutes at the end of blowout games.

Yes! This reminds of the blowout win over Gonzaga in Indianapolis in April 2021. Drew cleared the bench and Patterson has the last play of the game, a steal & almost a bucket.

Second half was much more fun to watch but a better defense would not have allowed them to get 70. To be fair, the lack of depth was a factor.
