Nah.. they don't but not adjusting the offense after its been obvious for weeks. This has been a trend even when they had decent talent.

If we're going to lean on Carr, get him the ball with 20 seconds on the clock. The weaving is meant to get the guys the ball downhill with momentum and its doing absolutely nothing. They literally cannot stay in front of Carr without fouling and we run absolute trash after being up 8.

You're preaching to the choir, brother. I've been beating that drum for years. That is not a viable path to building winning college teams, and it has taken Drew way too long to figure that out.

This off season will tell us whether Drew's going to truly or adapt or continue down the path that isn't working. Also need to figure out a way to better evaluate transfers. Besides Carr Drew whiffed a ton on this class

Adjust it to what? We don't have a single player that can break down a defense off the bounce, and Drew's entire offense is predicated on the dribble drive.

This is a roster construction problem ... as it's been almost every time we've underachieved under Drew.

What do you mean adjust to what. Get Carr the ball with 20 on the shot. Pretty obvious. And he's shot 10 FTs already man, so he's clearly getting a step everytime down the floor.

Its not a season changer but do something.. thats the point. Drew whiffed on two transfers they paid market for so here we are. I agree with that. Doesn't mean you can't adjust the offense. Pretty simple

The frustrating part is our first-shot defense has been excellent the last two games, but we couldn't score in either and we're getting murdered on the glass today.

You can't win giving good teams three shots per possession.

The problem with 5 stars and Baylor is we don't get the 5 stars who are 5 stars because they are already fundamentally sound but just need some refinement for a year or two. Those kids go to Duke. The 5 stars we have gotten are the ones who get rated that high based on sheer athleticism and potential, and the reality is that they need a few years of college to develop the fundamentals. But, as we know, they're gonna off to the league in 1 year.

And, as much as I love Scott, he's just never been a hard ass on undisciplined (on the court) players so they tend to continue to just rely on athleticism, which produces widely varying game-to-game results. I know some get excited with us chasing that 5 star PG, and we certainly need a real PG, but give me a proven PG who has already proven he can be a PG at the collegiate level like RayJ.

That's not sustainable in this game though. Sampson will adjust. Right now Baylor doesn't have any sustainable routes to success in league play.

You think this offense will be good running isos with Carr every possession? That's not a solution. It's a bandaid on a gunshot wound.

CSD has a long term structural problem. He has always been a high culture, player development coach. The prior system rewarded those types of programs. The current structure does not. He must change to be successful in the current environment. Can he change? Perhaps he has already adjusted and we are just waiting for the results. Time will tell.

The percentage of the team who enter the portal at the end of this season will be a big tell.

Looks like we're playing 5 on 6 when we're on the offensive end.

Spot on. My biggest gripe with Drew has always been how lenient he is. And it's not just with 5 stars. He allows way too much freedom on the offensive end. Leads to lots of 1 v 1 with forced jump shots. Typically leads to a bogged down offense for long stretches.

No joke. But weaving then dumping the ball to a guy with 5 seconds on the shot clock is just stupid. Its not creating any movement. By all means, he can continue with it and throw his hands up.

I agree we all know Obi and Rataj were whiffs.

For the game somehow only down 7. Hou isn't special without Flemings. We'd be down 20+ against Iowa St right now. Hopefully Drew can make some adjustments

Wow. WVU beats KU, who seems to be searching for an identity as much as us. TCU had them beat and gave it away.

Yessefou is useless against good defense. Dude's a paper tiger right now. Looks like a pro against garbage and like garbage against high-level college defense.

This team is painful to watch on the offensive end.

He's allowed to play rather careless offensively. So I fully expect him to play out of control all season before he leaves to be a career g leaguer

He's just not that good. He's a great athlete with a good motor, but he's got no polish whatsoever to his game.

This is sad.

Being a Baylor sports fan just sucks right now. To go from where we were in 2021 to where we are now is utterly depressing.

I said when we signed him that his offensive game was brutal to watch. I just don't get signing those types other than Baylor can say the signed another 5 star. But let's be honest here, there's 3 stars across the country more polished offensively

I'm about to give up on this one. This team is just brutal to watch right now.

Baseball and women's softball, that's what we can look forward to.
