Baylor landed a signing from Toledo offensive lineman Cole Rhett on Saturday following an official visit. The 6-foot-7, 301-pound rising junior started 26 games at right tackle for the MAC program, which went 16-10 over the last two seasons.
Rhett has two more years of eligibility remaining.
A Columbus, Ohio native, Rhett was a key piece to Toledo’s 2025 offense, which led the MAC in scoring (30.8), total offensive yards (415.2), and was fourth in passing yards (238.1) and rushing yards (177.2).
As a unit, Toledo was No. 2 in the MAC in sacks allowed at 1.31 sacks per game and fifth in tackles for loss at 5.15.
Personally, Rhett allowed just four sacks on the season on 345 pass blocking snaps. However, it was his run blocking that was a strength in 2025, with a 74.0 run blocking grade. His overall grade of
Rhett is Baylor’s fourth offensive line addition from the portal in 2026.
