Indiana transfer defensive lineman Hosea Wheeler has signed with Baylor.

The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder posted 31 tackles, four for loss, 11 quarterback pressures and two fumble recoveries as he played 420 snaps for the Hoosiers National Championship team.

According to Pro Football Focus, he posted a defensive grade of 70.6 with a run defense grade of 74.0 and a pass rush grade of 60.2. He primarily played nose tackle and defensive tackle for the Hoosiers.

Wheeler was a two-time all-conference player during his final two seasons at Western Kentucky before leaving for Bloomington. He posted 117 tackles, eight for loss, four sack and two forced fumbles.

He is awaiting the ruling on Diego Pavia’s lawsuit challenging the NCAA rules that JUCO years count towards a player's five-year eligibility since he played his freshman season at Sacramento City College.

If that passes, he will have one year of eligibility remaining.
