Positives

  • The season is one day closer to being over. What seemed like a fun team to root for preseason has turned into one hard to watch. Effort and execution are lacking.
  • I was encouraged by James Nnaji’s movement; hopefully, he can build his confidence before the end of the season.
  • It was good to see Obi Agbim make some 3-pointers (4-11).
  • Caden Powell brings it every night.

Needs Work

  • Michael Rataj just has too many ridiculous turnovers due to indecision or a lack of strength with the basketball.
  • The defense is not active, zone is fine, but it has to be uber active to work well. Cincinnati, a bad offensive team, had 15 assists and only eight turnovers.
  • Rough shooting numbers (6-26 from 3; 23%) and 5-9 from the free-throw line (56%).

On to West Virginia!
