Baylor WBB Lands Four-Star 2027 PG Samari Holmen, Nation's No. 1 Recruiting Class Grows
Head coach Nicki Collen and Baylor women’s basketball have secured a commitment from Duncanville High School point guard Samari Holmen, according to Dushawn London of 247 Sports.
Holmen is a four-star guard who is rated the No. 39 overall player in the nation in the 2027 recruiting class. She is also ranked as the third-best player in the state of Texas and sixth-best point guard in the country.
The 5-foot-8 Holmen helped Duncanville capture a state title in 2024 before earning first-team all-area honors in 2025. During her sophomore campaign in 2024-25, she averaged 16.5 points per game and knocked down 64 three-pointers, leading the Panthers to a 29-7 record and a berth in the Class 6A Division I Region II final. She tore her ACL in July 2025, however.
Holmen becomes Baylor’s third commitment in the 2027 recruiting class, joining four-star power forward Miciah Fusilier (No. 19 overall prospect) and four-star center Ogechi Okeke (No. 32 overall prospect) to give the Bears the nation’s No. 1-ranked 2027 recruiting class, according to current rankings.
