TCU 27 at Arizona 35
The Wildcats put together a really strong outing at home as the secondary makes life hard for Jaden Craig but TCU’s run game keeps them hanging around. Noah Fifita is too much though and Tre Spivey goes for 100 yards and two scores. Too much Wildcats offense and too little consistency for the Frogs.
Iowa State 10 at Baylor 28
The Bears take care of business at home during Homecoming weekend. The Cyclones have no ability to move the ball consistently in this one and while Baylor’s offense is a little shaky this week the defense plays well. Bears continue to roll as the schedule is about to get much tougher.
West Virginia 20 at Texas Tech 41
The Mountaineers don’t have the defense to slow down the Texas Tech rushing attack and the offensive line gets overwhelmed by the Red Raiders front. This one is on the road as well so lets just say, things go very poorly for WVU.
BYU 27 at Utah 24
This is the game that cements BYU in the Big 12 Championship. The Cougars will be very battle tested going into this game whereas Utah hasn’t quite been challenged enough for this one. BYU is better up front on both sides of the ball and return its head coach which will matter in this game.
Cincinnati 14 at Houston 27
The Bearcats are in free fall and it continues in Houston. There is far too much Conner Weigman and Mekhi Hughes on the ground as they just take the air our of the football. This allows them to control the game and, even though they struggle some to throw the ball, it won’t matter in this one. The run game and defense dominate as Houston rolls.
UCF 34 at Kansas 28
Which of these teams wants a shot to go on a run late? I am taking UCF. The Knights have more talent on defense to give the Jayhawks some issues and the poor Kansas defense gives UCF some opportunities to hit on some explosives. The very rough season continues for KU.
Colorado 20 at Arizona State 33
The Sun Devils passion game goes crazy this week as Cutter Boley throws for 350 yards with Omarion Miller and Reed Harris each catching a touchdown. The run game is fine but the pass game has a day. Colorado is in complete free fall at this point in the season and Coach Prime’s seat is on fire.
Oklahoma State 35 at Kansas State 40
This is a shootout in Manhattan. Avery Johnson and Drew Mestemaker go completely crazy as each total four touchdowns. This is an offensive display against two very weak defenses. The difference here is a slightly better run game for the Wildcats and the home field advantage.
