Five-star guard King Gibson has scheduled an official visit to Baylor for Oct. 9.
Gibson also set trips to Louisville, UCONN, Arkansas and LSU in September. Other schools like Illinois, Alabama, Providence, Syracuse and Michigan are also showing major interest.
The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 15 points, 3.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds during his junior season. Gibson shot 47% from the floor, 46% from deep and 80% from the free-throw line. He helped lead SPIRE to the Final Four of the EYBL Scholastic Conference Tournament before losing to the eventual champions, CIA Bella Vista.
Gibson is a composite top-10 overall prospect and the No. 1 combo guard in the 2027 recruiting class. His highest ranking is on Rivals, where he is ranked No. 5 overall.
Scott Drew and company are on a roll right now, setting official visits in the 2027 class, as the Bears have three composite top-14 prospects set to take an official visit in the next couple of months.
