Can't get the game where I am. Sounds like the officiating is horrible. A little home cooking?

I'm kind of glad that I couldn't see this game. It hasn't sounded like a very well played game.

Will Mulkey put Moon in with 30 seconds left?

Moon sure didn't play much despite the blowout and only 8 players tonight.

Yeah, I doubt that she will be back next season. If Mulkey doesn't have enough confidence in her to put her in a blowout game like this I doubt that she will get any playing time the rest of the season.

I thought it was a bit sloppy.

I think we were just playing down to the competition in an awkward environment. ISU fans stayed home because of the blistering cold outside.

I like to think we will raise our game against better competition.

I think I am just apprehensive as a fan because I would really like to see us break back into the Final Four this season - and tonight's game was just not indicative of what that will ultimately require of us.

Cox just shy of a triple double with 9 blocks.

I really don't think this game was as bad as it seemed. I thought we played really well in the first quarter and did a good job in the fourth as well. We did have a number of turnovers which is frustrating but a lot of those are things that are so easily fixable- travels, double dribbles, lazy passes, etc.

I don't understand why she doesn't get more PT.
We've certainly been playing with big enough leads for her to get more time than she is. Also would like to see Landrum receive more time. Chou was really off shooting tonight although I know Kim likes her D. Wish we had seen minutes spread out a little more. Hope Moon can stay mentally engaged.

We really stank it up tonight...winning by ONLY 29 points on the road without Cohen playing.

I agree. Kalani let herself get too frustrated at times. Way too sloppy. It won't beat Texas unless we clean it. Way too many turnovers!

That has been the case with both Kalani and Cox lately. I am seeing some habits develop that I don't like.

It looks like nothing

Wallace is laughing about it, Cox agreeing with a smh

Now, they call it an unsportsmanlike foul, such BS
Disagree with you. Kristy put her hand on Iowa's girl face after the shot. Not saying it was intentional but they will call that every time. I think they got that call right. Just my opinion...

I was shocked to hear on the postgame show that the attendance was 9500. There season ticket base must be 9k. I'd like to hear from geewago how many actually were there.

I watched this game from one of the best seats in the house. About half the time we were awesome, the other half rather sloppy and care free. I'm really unable to understand Chous lack of production. About every 4th or 5th game she just evaporates. Zero points against a very lowly team. You'd think a player who looks as good as she does at times could score one bucket even blindfolded. This makes the 4th game this year where she would have been just as valuable staying in the dressing room. Her defense was fair tonight but nothing impressive. I suspect the next game she'll have 15 points or so. But if she disappears against Texas like her and Christy both did against UCLA that will make for a tough situation.

Overall though it was a great experience and it was nice to see a team go on the road and handle another team as well as they did. That silly little lady ref always irks the snot out of me. I don't think her bread has ever had any yeast in it.

There were probably about 2200 there. I was told tonight that Hilton holds 14000. the entire upper deck was empty and the bottom was not quite half full. Only the center court (50 yd line) seats were fairly loaded. I came up here about 12 years ago and I'd say there were at least 12,500 in attendance. If it hadn't been for a friend who gave me his wifes seat that year I would have been up in the top swatting at the bats.

The leader of North Korea is more qualified to ref the world than these 3 blind mice were to ref this game.

I didn't see any contact and if it was the ISU player leaned into it.

Play like this vs Texas, we'll get a whipping.

And watch. We'll get in a situation in the NCAA or earlier where some of the starters get in foul trouble and we have to go to Ursin and Landrum for help... and they're thrown in the deep end to produce ... but they've had no valuable playing time when it has been available...

It is a difficult thing to question the substitution pattern of a coach because we don't know what is taking place in practice, etc. That being said, Ursin seems to be the odd player out, these days. She is over aggressive on defense and gets unnecessary and unproductive fouls, but she can't be faulted for her effort, and she has shown that she is physically more advanced than the opponents she faces as a rule. This makes me wonder into areas I would rather not go into, because speculation in matters of personnel is not my style. It is not fair to either the player or the coach.

As for Landrum, she seems to be on a short string, and when she makes errors at the defensive end, as she is prone to do, Coach Mulkey does not often give her a chance to play through it.

Chou does seem to be a bit "up and down" in some of the games this season. I like her game a lot, but at times she seems to become a bit passive. One of the problems, of course, is that with the two post players getting the bulk of the shot opportunities in the offensive scheme that Mulkey prefers, sometimes a shooter just does not have enough shots to get a rhythm. Chou is a player who seems to feed off of success, so once she starts hitting her shots, she relaxes and plays lights out, but when she does not put the first two or three shots down, she tends to become the forgotten option. The absence of Cohen may have had a slight effect on Natalie, who felt the responsibility for filling in for her as a defender and rebounder, but that is not a certainty.

Khristy was productive and active, tonight. At this juncture, there are not many players in the conference who are more effective at both ends of the flloor than she is. It is good to see, because she has certainly paid her dues.

Kim is my favorite BU coach, but that doesn't keep me from questioning some decisions. I wonder if she forgets Moon has hardly played during a blowout or perhaps her burning desire to whip the opponent by as many points as possible causes her to hesitate emptying the bench. I highly doubt Moon isn't giving full effort in practice and she always hustles in games. If she isn't good enough yet, the best way to improve is to get minutes.
