Well that disproves the hypothesis that these refs are incapable of calling a body contact foul.

They will sure T you up if you look at them wrong or make an opposing player laugh during a free throw attempt.

It means we'd won 5 games in a row..4 ny pretty narrow margins..in this league 5 in a row is like 9 in a row in any other league..

We were due for a clunker..that make sense?

I still say Drew should not get a T for merely stating a fact (that mr ref's parents had a child out of wedlock many years ago)

If I was Huggie, I'd got to think the refs were out to get me. How many fouls have been called against WV these last two games?

WV fouls almost every play. They deserve every foul against them.

X = .7 x Y

Where Y is the actual number of fouls actually committed by WV

Refs are playing with fire lengthening the game like this.

THAT seems generous

This is where I don't get Drew. Why not foul immediately and make this game as long as possible. I know we are down a lot but crazier things have happened.

Drew not biting on JM'S "bright spots."

Their physicality affecting our shots.
Horrible first half shooting.
Konate's blocks affecting our shots.
Dagger was the three with the foul that ended our comeback.

The best thing for Baylor this season is the NIT. I believe that slipping in to the NCAAA tourney as either a 15th or 16th seed, and (inevitably) getting shown the door immediately by a #1 or #2 adds no value this season - perhaps even damaging it further. But making some kind of run in the NIT, could possibly help the season end on positive momentum.

Baylor will never be a 15/16 seed. Those spots are for the smaller conference auto-bid schools (South Dakota State, SFA, etc.). The lowest Baylor would be is probably an 11. Those teams are involved in the play-in game as the last teams selected.

Point taken.

My point still stands though.

Your point is a good one, though I tend to disagree. I fall in the camp that says let's squeak into the tourney and have a shot. Even if we lose. I can see both sides.

Not really. There is nothing inevitable about a 6-11 or 5-12 matchup (much different from 1-16 or 2-15). Make the NCAA tourney and a Sweet Sixteen bid isn't a long shot, the NIT doesn't compare. We have a veteran squad and no need for an NIT rebuild.

I'm sorry, but this post is total garbage from start to finish.

First, we will never be a 15/16 seed. Ever.

Second, making the NCAA tourney would be ending the season on a positive note after being 2-7 in conference. It would be close to a miracle

Third, Everyone remembers Princeton almost knocking off Georgetown over 30 years ago. No one remembers who won the NIT last year except TCU d bags and die hard hoops junkies.

Fourth, no one builds their brand in the NIT. Teams and coaches build their brand in the Big Dance.

Fifth, TCU won the NIT last season. It Is not a main driver of their success. In fact, that might be back there again this year.

Sixth, Duke lost to 15 seed Lehigh. Three years later they won the NCAA championship.
