BREAKING: 2019 DE prospect Matt Jones commits to Baylor

Baylor has landed a commitment from 2019 defensive end prospect Matt Jones out of Odessa Permian. Jones had offers from Illinois, Texas Tech, and Nevada among others.
Jones (6-3, 227) played linebacker for Permian a year ago but will move to the defensive end position for his senior season. He is set to play the DE RUSH end position for the Bears.
Jones tallied a SPARQ score of 111.96 at the Dallas Regional of The Opening which included a 4.79 40-yard dash and a 4.20 shuttle time.
He is the first defensive end prospect committed for Baylor's 2019 class.
