Viewer's Guide: Big 12 will test their mettle in non-conference games
The Big 12 is set to play several major opponents in out-of-conference place in 2018, including a nation-leading 36.7 percent of non-conference games against fellow Power 5 opponents. Only Oklahoma State will not face a P5 opponent, but the Cowboys will face a tough Boise State team in mid-September.
From Sept. 1 to Sept. 15, the Big 12 will face at least two opponents from each of the five major conferences while Texas and West Virginia will each face two P5 opponents on their own.
After not playing a Power 5 opponent in the non-conference since 2009, Baylor will face Duke for a second-consectutive season.
