GAME QUOTES
Jim Grobe on KU's defense...
“I like the way their defense
chases the football. They fly around and get a lot of people to the
ball. They play really, really hard defensively. As an older football
coach, you know, the one thing you like is that when you watch games is
to watch the teams that play with a lot of energy and enthusiasm and
that's what I see from them on both sides of the ball. They are very
aggressive. I like to Blitz and bring pressure and and mixed things up
so I like their scheme. They're fundamentally coach really well, you can
tell that there is a very fundamentally sound defense."
Seth Russell on improvements he has seen in Kansas...
“They are definitely a
different ball team than last year, for sure. On film they fly around
and do a lot of good things on defense. We just have to focus on what we
do, play Baylor football. The coaches are going to have a good scheme
going into it, and as long as we execute we will be OK.”
