B4 walk loads the bases with 1 out, Bears still down 7-0 but have a chance to get runs

Strike out means 2 down bases loaded, Bears need a hit to get on the board

Difficult predicament for Coach Rod.

When you lose your Friday pitcher for the season & your Saturday guy gets hurt, several guys have to step up. Certainly guys have, especially Winston, Dickens, Hill & the entire bullpen. Ashkinos, Thomas, Helton & Needham have all contributed, likely more than anticipated when the season started.

Timely & consistent hitting have done much to compensate for our injury misfortunes.

7-2 KSU Bears have missed big opportunities twice now

But when you don't have a game for the next 10 days......USE YOUR BULLPEN!!! Everybody is an option

Yeah, shoulda pulled the starter when it was 2-0, we'd be down 4-2 at worst now if they had.

But the key here is timely hitting. Bears have had men on 2nd and 3rd three times (once with nobody out), but are 1 for 5 batting in those situations.

Gotta make KSU pay when you get men in scoring position.

Baylor Vision does a great job of broadcasting game. Much better than what we saw from Tech and tcu

More base runners stranded by Baylor. Chip-away strategy not working well this afternoon.

After a solo homerun in bottom of the 9th, the Bears fall 10 to 3. KState avoids the sweep.

Assuming Tech holds on to its 5-run lead at OU, Bears will lead by only a half game after today.

We're all big Frog fans next week.

All in all, this team has clearly done a great job compensating for all of the injuries, but I'm not going to be surprised if the continuing issue of not having a 3rd starter ends up costing us both a Big 12 season championship and a trip to Omaha.

Agreed with Johnny. At some point, you would think not having a true ace of a No. 3 starter has to catchup. But, with Wendzel healthy and back, I feel like this offense can out-slug most teams it faces.
