Jared Butler was still on the court signing autographs after his 22-point performance in Baylor’s 67-55 win over third-ranked Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse. And Scott Drew was wrapping up a nationally-televised interview with CBS.

For the rest of the Bears, celebrating a milestone victory without their star player and coach wouldn’t have felt right. So they waited — and prepared.
