Former Oregon OC Matt Lubick to Baylor as co-OC
SicEm365 has confirmed a report by FootballScoop.com that Baylor head coach Matt Rhule will hire former Oregon offensive coordinator Matt Lubick to a co-Offensive Coordinator position.
Lubick, who was at Oregon for the 2016 season and was recently hired by Ole Miss as a positional coach, will join fellow co-OC Jeff Nixon who was hired by Baylor from the San Franciso 49ers.
Lubick spent a total of four seasons at Oregon from 2013-2016. In 2016, Oregon averaged 35.4 points per game in Lubick's lone season as the offensive coordinator.
At 44 years of age, Lubick has gained an immense amount of experience. After beginning his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Colorado State in 1995, Lubick has made stops at Cal State Northridge, San Jose State, Oregon State, Colorado State, Ole Miss, Arizona State and Duke prior to arriving at Oregon.
Lubick played collegiality at Western Montana College as a defensive back. He is originally from Bozeman, Montana.
