On Friday, David Smoak of SicEm365 confirmed that Baylor will indeed play their first game of the 2020 season on Saturday afternoon against Kansas.
“I’ve learned both (Baylor) and (Kansas) have completed their testing, no positive tests from either team,” Smoak posted on Twitter. The source told Smoak that the teams are on course play, but are “praying for no power outages.”
Baylor (0-0) has seen games against Louisiana Tech and Houston postponed because of positive COVID-19 cases or contact tracing. Kansas (0-1) has played a single game, a loss against Coastal Carolina. Jayhawk’s head coach Les Miles said recently that his team had no new COVID-19 positive test.
The Big 12 contest will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. CT in a game aired on ESPNU.
