That doesn't mean everyone has to agree 100 percent on what he has to say but I enjoy hearing his opinions anyways.Brian Ethridge said:Because we ask him to do a segment on the show. Why is Phil Bennett still hanging around?
And why does anyone think anything he has to say is relavent?
Thee was on the show already and was a great guest.

CHP Bear said:You say we dumped on ourselves in the Fiesta. You are aware UCF was an excellent team. That year UCF had a team that could have won the Big12. We got beat by a better team that day. So my question, were we overrated or was UCF underrated. As for me, at games end I definitely bought into the underrated. Also, given TCU murdered 'Ol Miss, what makes you thing BU couldn't have done the same thing?BUBear24 said:Chamberman said:
Then why the hell didn't we beat Michigan State?
This. We got a hell of a lot of bad breaks, but if you wanted to show you belonged we should've blew MSU up. We didn't, and then had to watch TCU murder Ole Miss in their peach bowl. This was after already ****ting the bed in the Fiesta, so I think outside us BU fans people thought Baylor was a one trick pony.

Thee, I think Steele's career really started in 82. I dont think being an SA counts. But neverthleless Bennett' and Steele are about the same age. I thought Bennett's career started around 74 and Steele's much later than 82.
One odd thing in Bennett's career. In 83 he was the LB coach at MacArthur HS and made the jump from there to DC at ISU in 84. That was quite a jump. He did have previous position coach experience at TCU and A&M before the season at MacAurthur. But still jumping from linebacker coach at HS to DC at a then Big 8 program was quite a jump.
Could it be part of the reason Iowa State went from 4-7 to 2-7-2 between 1983 and 1984?PartyBear said:I didnt see this I just started a thread on it.74Bear said:

That 2-7-2 campaign was ISU's worst season since 1967.

But he wasn't part of the reason Baylor won back to back XII championships? Those two years were the best seasons since 1897.

Apparently, you've never met me Chamberman.
That whole list was tongue in cheek. Brian got it but you didn't.
I wrote the Rope for the NoZe for three years. Most Chambermen didn't appreciate or understand our humor then, either.

Had several friends that were part of the NoZe in the mid 80's!
Chamber and the NoZe always had a symbiotic relationship. We always reserved a spot in the Homecoming parade for the NoZe even when they were persona non gratis on campus.
