Quadruplets: How One Recruiting Miss Led to Basketball Gold

Arkansas had its triplets that led their school to a Final Four in 1978. Baylor has the quadruplets with Davion Mitchell, Jared Butler, MaCio Teague and Adam Flagler who are staking their claim on NCAA history.

Al McGuire labeled Arkansas’ terrific backcourt trio of Sidney Moncrief, Ron Brewer and Marvin Delph as the “Triplets”.  Those three were all 6-4 from the state of Arkansas and they led Eddie Sutton and the Razorbacks to the Final Four in 1978. 

I spoke with Baylor’s outstanding radio commentator Pat Nunley about the “Triplets”.  Pat played against them during his time at Baylor.
