So do any of you bet online on sports? Just curious if any of you can recommend a reputable online betting platform that you use. Also, is it even legal in Texas?

And no need to warn me about betting, I don't have an addictive personality and I'm not planning on ever betting serious money, but I'd like to place a small recreational bet every once in a blue moon.

one big key is how early they post their lines and how soon you can wager.

there can be big moves early on - starting late sunday.

some sites dont take bets until late monday or even tuesday.

I probably should have asked it on the Longhorn forums, where the scurge and filth of humanity congregates. Most certainly they'd have all the betting sites down. Each one of them has probably made mint betting against their whorns.

It's not legal in Texas. I tried to place a bet using a few different websites for last year's Super Bowl, but they wouldn't let me. I think they locked me out because my ISP is in Texas. The guys on the Ticket (radio) in Dallas are always making bets, but I don't know how they are doing it. It's really silly, yet here we are.

Thanks, thats what I thought. I assume people are using VPN to get around it. Not interested enough to have to work around state law so I guess I'll have to just save my $.

sports gambling is not legal in texas. I enjoy betting though I rarely do it because I do not want to use an off shore site - that is what most people would use in Texas - or a local bookie. both are not something I want to deal with.

I bet online when in Colorado, Vegas, or now Louisiana. if you are close to Louisiana - you can bet online when located in Louisiana now.
