I need some advice from any of you lawn care experts. Last year I started getting a tough to kill weed in the yard that I was able to identify as Paspalum (or Paspalum Setaceum or Dallisgrass). I was able to find one weed killer that killed it when sprayed directly on it over several weeks and a brush killer that kills it (but I don't really want to use that in the yard and kill the grass).

I have read up a little online of how to get rid of it. I know like with any weed pulling it works best but there are numerous spots in the yard and I don't want to spend all day or two days pulling/digging it out. Online everything seems to list types of weed killers to use but not any recommended brands.

So the question is does anyone have a weed killer to use that they have experienced luck with? Maybe something to use now that is a pre-emergent and one to use if it grows back? Anything that can be sprayed over the whole yard to help kill it/prevent it?

I was able to rid my yard of weeds quickly, with little effort, and no expense.

I haven't had a weed appear in the 20+ years since, so I consider it an effective long-term solution.

I simply stopped calling them weeds, and starting using the terms "biodiversity" and "wildflowers".

Success is easily attainable if your standards are low enough.
