Every fall people yap about how Drew only plays 7 or 8 so none of the others beyond that matter. That is such BS. We've been an injury prone team for 4 years running now. The #9 and #10 spots do matter not only for us but for everyone else too. There's always injuries during a season. Watch Iowa St today. They'll use 9 or 10 guys.

Better wake up and match the intensity or this game will be over before we get to the 10 minute mark. It's so confusing to me why they wait so long to decide they want to crank up the intensity. How about from the jump……

The problem with this roster is we don't have a No. 8, 9 or 10 that can play.

As much as I hate to say it, I just don't like this roster or team that much. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I think this is the worst team we've had in a long time. The roster construction is bad, and there's no depth behind the four or five impact newcomers we brought in.

Ice cold on open 3s and on the other end our non-existent 3 point defense and junk zone are showing up. Without two depth guys this one might be ugly. Celestine and Love haven't been very good.. but they can get other guys a small rest.

Iowa State is just better than we are this year. Everything about both teams' resumes proves that. This game is going about how I thought it would unfortunately. And our issues are exacerbated by the unavailability of Love and Celestine.

I've been saying this a lot the last three years, but I hate our defensive philosophy in man. This defense is sieve. We just switch into one mismatch after another and every good offense exploits the hell out of us.

You're not gonna be proven wrong. This is just not a very good roster construction. We don't have much height. We don't have any pure shooters, just streaky shooters, and it shows when we play good teams. We've improved some defensively since the first of the season but still not very good relative to the teams we are gonna have to play in the Big 12. We have no room for Norchad to get in foul trouble because we have no one else to even remotely replace him.

Makes me wonder if we paid too much for Roach. Not that Roach hasn't been good, but we may have needed 2 guys for the price of Roach who were serviceable at positions. Tough to say, I guess.

In man D, we must end up with 6'2" guards on 6'9" or taller forward/post players more often than just about anybody out there.

100%, Very good observation. The offense is predicated on the team knocking down open looks at a decent rate and it isn't happening against good teams. They've had a ton of really easy 3 point looks so far and clanked them.

We are playing on the road vs. #2 team in the nation and down 2 rotation players. We are very good relative to the rest if the big 12. Let's not overreact to this outcome which will likely be ugly.

They've been better the last 3 years. Otz constructs good college rosters. Not sure what Drew's constructing anymore. He needs to get a defensive coach. The clone fans I'm surrounded by have commented on the lack of defense from BU multiple times.
