I've uninstalled PC Mechanic after using it for years. The marketing popups got annoying.

What do y'all use/recommend for virus protection and system performance?

In reality, if you're letting Win10 install updates and run scans on its own time, an external AV program won't add much in the way of security.

If it's just light web surfing and gaming and not going to skeezy sites, Windows Defender is all you need really.
