Famous for the wrong reasons would be all the nazis who did it and escaped to South America or lived in Germany or other parts of Europe for years.

The billy the kid one always intrigued me as it seemed there was some credibility to it and that old guy that claimed to be him. As more has come out I don't think it is him but who knows.

I don't get a lot of the conspiracies that these celebs faked their deaths. They would be giving up millions to go live in obscurity with no money. And especially with cameras everywhere now I just can't see any of them being able to go out in public anywhere.

Or that they left their families to never see them again.

Sort of like the conspiracies that the fourth plane on 9/11 never crashed but landed and all the people were paid to just leave their families and go live somewhere else.
