Somewhere at home I have an article from the outdoors section of the Houston Chronicle about 15 years ago which covered the presence of jaguars in Texas and told the story of the last "Texas jag" (that wasn't likely a border transient). which was killed near Goldthwaite (about 87 miles west of Waco). Don't remember the year offhand.
