So when did Rick suddenly become such a bad shot even with 20 bullets per second shooting out.

That was a complete dud for a season premier and 100th episode

I thought it was pretty good. Last year's almost drove the audience away.

I thought it was good. Neegan is out in the open and they have 10 guns on him, why not take him out? Chop off the head so to speak. But then what do they do with the season

Spoiler: neegan does not die for a long time if they go by the graphic novel

I'd just been happy if Gregory had caught a bullet.

Yeah, going to be interesting to see how they handle it.

I thought it interesting that they brought back the character from the first few episodes who took his family to Alabama from Atlanta. I don't read the comic, but I always wondered if we would see him again.

Also in the Talking Dead, there was mention of a crossover between TWD and Fear TWD. I don't see how that can be done since the shows are years apart. Unless it is just referencing the name of a relative. Perhaps Madison is related to one of the main characters from TWD. She revealed she is actually from Alabama near the end of the past season.

Remember Rick encountered Morgan again back in Ga a few seasons back before they were reuinited again in Va and he was nuts at that particular time.

Yes, when he was in town. He was also crazy again when he met up with the Dr. that murdered the guy that murdered his family before the outbreak.

So, Morgan just may be crazy.

Are you talking about the guru who made him a pacifist? I don't remember a dr killing a guy who killed his family during civilization.

How many times will Carl aim down the sights of a gun with his eye patch this season?

How many times will a character have the opportunity to kill negan and not do so?

How many times will the writers break their own rules?

How many times will they violate the rules/characteristics of the dead?

What have I missed?

I think at this point I watch more out of wanting to catch all the ways they mess up than actual interest in the show. Which is probably why I haven't yet watched an episode for this season but will soon.

Drawn to sound- violated numerous times when the dead do not react to sound. Has happened since season one

Dead run- only ever happened in season one first two episodes.

Dead climb fences, tanks, etc then don't anymore

Dead picking up objects- season one

Dead attracted to fire and then sometimes not. At the farm not attracted to burning barn but attracted to burning water in Alexandria is one example.

Walkers smell the living- but not if they are hiding under cars, behind doors, etc.

Just a few examples of how they violate the "rules" they have established throughout the show.

In the Alexandria Lake of Fire scene, I remember thinking, "Since when are they drawn to fire?"

Another plot hole is, why do they not put jawless, armless dead on leashes all around the walls of Alexandria?

Finally started this season. And in the first episode another chance to kill Negan and end it before it even starts. And another chance missed but then what would they do with the show if the war ended with one shot in episode one this season?

Meh

It's amazing that the trash lady finds time to dye her hair while trying to stay alive and search for food....

And how every member of that group went crazy (I could understand that in a post apocalyptic world) and forgot how to speak properly.

Finally caught up. This season has definitely been the most fight heavy.

I think the writers killed them off too easily. They overplayed the power of the machine guns. And little things called sight lines. They supposedly shot through two storage tanks to hit some of the kingdom fighters and there were bullets hitting simultaneously in spots way to spread out to be from two guns.
It also seemed like Shiva after killing the first walker just stood there. I feel like she would have run or jumped out of the way.

It also amazes me how the walkers can do things that are physically impossible to do- tear at flesh to open it up. No way human fingers could penetrate into the skin of another human, dog, horse or tiger as they have done on several occasions.

I get a little fed up with the liberties taken and feel like I watch more out of wanting to catch errors and see how it ends rather than actually being excited and interested in the show at this point.

Sights lines I could see being an error, but the .50 cals they had are plenty powerful enough to take out a group of people wearing plastic armor or even shoot through storage tanks.

IT isn't a question of power. It is a question of being able to see. They couldn't even see that there were people there. Let alone shoot them accurately.

Then there is the problem that there were bullets hitting people way to far apart at the same time to be from just two guns. Even with their high fire rate the shooting was way to quick for how spread out the group was.

If it had been a few more seconds it would have been a little more believable. As shown it was not.

Just another example of the writers recreating rules for their purpose.

It has a firing rate of 400-600 rounds per minute, it is going to happen fast. They are also firing from a mounted position in an elevated spot. And they are firing at a group walking across an open area with no cover. Pretty good cover. How they were placed when filmed could be an issue but where they were for an ambush wasn't unbelievable.

Edit: And I see what you are saying now with the storage tanks. This clip does show one had a pretty good sight on them at least.

Maybe you are not getting what I am saying.

There is no way to see through objects. So then shooting people they had no vision of is impossible.

Also, even with a high fire rate it is impossible to aim the gun in two or three spots at the same time.

That clip is a little short but shows a littleness of what I'm talking about. People are getting hit at the same time in about 5 different spots.... that is impossible. If there was more delay between it I could understand.

The premise of the show is a virus that turns people into walking dead ... zombies ... and you're worried about ... this stuff?

You know something, Robert Downey couldn't really make an iron suit that allows him to fly. You can't get spider powers through a bite. And you can't get mad enough to turn into a giant green maniac.

Sheesh. I'm almost as much fun as you are.

I get it now, though the one in the clip seemed to have sight of them with little to no obstruction. I do agree it does seem sporadic in their shooting, as a mounted M2HB would be a lot more acurate at that close range and not be all over the place as they showed.

Yes I get that. But the least they could do is keep the other stuff close to realistic as possible. Not change the way guns work, change the rules of the zombies, have people aim down sights with a missing eye, etc.
