Rosemary Beach is a great spot.

Love that place. Very special to me and a place where my wife and I plan to retire.

Have you been?

Gust
We have just driven through exploring. The one time we were in the area we stayed in the Seagrove area for a week. Spent most of our time at Seaside, but drove both directions along the coast to explore. Rosemary Beach was our favorite place.

So this is how the 1% lives
Indeed. Though I'm probably 3% and have earned every penny.

The fruits of my labor (and my wife's).
what are y'all doing in SD? Just y'all two or you have kiddos? Friend of mine moved there last year. His pictures certainly don't suck.

No big plans. La Jolla, zoo, LEGO land and some chilling. Yes we are bringing the kids.

That is very cool. Seagrove and Seaside are awesome as well. 30A is the bomb.

Next time you are down there make sure to hit a restaurant called "red bar".

Well club orient in Saint Martin is gone, so I suppose I'll have to wear clothing wherever I'll go this summer.

Heading to DC this weekend! Just in time to view all the museums and galleries from the outside, potentially...at least if the Gov shuts down the traffic should be light.

went on a couples trip there several years ago for NYE. didn't strike me as a "guy's trip" place, with the exception of casinos not too far away. a bunch of shops and spas and not many good bars. am I misremembering?

See the golf and hiking. We're also in our late 20s so it's a good price point for us. You can play good golf in the mountains, and maintain some fiscal responsibility.

Meeting one of my best friends and his wife in Inverness mid-May. I love Scotland and the Highlands in particular. First visit was in 2015 with our two teenagers. Just my bride and me this time!

I think the best way to enjoy DC is on foot with a comfy pair of walking shoes and the subway. You could easily spend a week exploring the nations capital.

Was trying to visit Paris in June, but just can't find an airfare that is reasonable enough for me. Don't have the points for international travel for 2.

Very bummed.

Going to Cali in May for a few days as consolation, but still a bit disappointing we couldn't make it work. Had a free place to stay with friends.

Certainly could have gone downhill. I haven't been there in a decade.

Anybody been to Greece recently? I'm looking to take the family over there in the next couple of years and I'd like to discuss with someone that has been.

Plan s Road Trip to go to L.A. in June to see the Dodgers play. Then stops in Utah, Wyoming, Kansas on the way back to Dallas. I haven't planed the stops between Dallas and L.A yet.

In August plan to take my wife to Niagara Falls. Not really planned yet.

Any suggestions for those areas of the country?
Go to the Canada side to see Niagara Falls. You get much closer and a better view.

Even more, go on the Maid of the Mists boats. The falls are far more awe-inspiring from the bottom than the top.

We took a cruise through Athens and several islands in Greece (Santorini, Korfu, Katakolon) two years ago. I'm not usually a cruise person, but this was decidedly the most convenient way to get around to the smaller islands, which is where you want to spend your time. Athens is a bit scummy.

Also, it left from Venice so we got there 2 days early to spend some time there.

It's a drive from Santa Fe but make sure you play Paa Ko Ridge. It's worth the trip and is a hidden gem in NM.

Cochiti is a bit west of Santa Fe and a fun track as well. Just make sure you don't speed through the reservation.

I forgot about that. I went in the winter and the river was frozen so the boats were not running. The winter is an interesting time to go because there are no crowds and everything is frozen over in a few inches of ice - looks like Narnia or something on that order. The winter is also bad because it is brutally cold, windy, and the mist freezes to everything it touches. Probably best to go another season when you can hop on the boat and just deal with the crowds.

For spring break we are taking the kids to Florida. Driving. 2 days at Disney, 2 days at Santibel and 2 days in Miami. I'm hoping we can get to at least Key Largo as I've never been to the keys.

I've played both of them several times and they are great fun.

Paa Ko might be my favorite course I have ever played.

Have you played Black Mesa recently? I played it about five years ago and it was fun, but reviews have me worried.

Nice. What did you think of Santorini and Katakolon?

Yes, I'm not really that interested in Athens. I'd like to experience a coastal town with beautiful water and views vs the city. I wouldn't mind seeing Mt Olympus though.

I'll be going in land, to visit the people! I guess my interests are opposite. I have a good friend with Greek family and he's inherited a small apartment in Thessaloniki, so that is where I would be going when I visit.

The good news is the best wine area of Greece are due west of there, so that would fit my no.1 interest.
Thankful Bear
