The Jerry Smith interview (Kenny and the Kasuals, R 82 and the Woo Brothers)

Our latest work, Jerry Smith of the Legendary Woo Brothers and former lead guitarist for Kenny and the Kasuals. The Woo Bros will be playing at our Aug 3rd event at Ozona in Dallas. The Kasuals were to open for the Beatles at Shea Stadium in 1964 before the dreaded red tape did them in.

'Memories of Dallas' is having an event where Jerry will be headlining. KLUV is plugging it right now. Would love to see some of the Bear clan there. We have about 50-60 Baylor folk that are members of the Facebook page.

Some of you may know Angus Wynne III. He is one of my Board members and produced the Texas Int Pop Festival in 1969 and it doing the 50 year event this Labor Day. Chicago, ZZ Top and a host of others are playing.

Angus will be there. If you dont know who he is, if you ever heard of SHOWCO, he started it with Jack Calmes. Also was the brains behind the 1969 Texas International Pop Festival with Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Santana, Sly & the Family Stone, Canned Heat, Grand Funk Railroad, Chicago Transit Authority, Johnny Winter, Sweetwater and B.B. King.

He is the driving force behind the 2019 Lewisville Pop Festival also. Chicago, ZZ Top and more
