Maybe a topic for another thread.Shippou said:It was the artist Zheani describing her childhood, of how her mom brought home horrible men with porn addictions around her and how her father sold drugs and eventually died of an opioid overdose. As she mentions multiple times throughout the song "can't blame me" because she realized the environment she grew up in affected who she surrounds herself with to this day.Florda_mike said:Shippou said:
Don't watch if you're one of those sensitive types.
I watched it
Can you tell me what I just watched because I have no clue???
It seriously gave me a headache
"Can't blame me" says I'm doing something deserving of blame. If a person knows they are blame worthy, should they not take ownership of their actions?
I am aware of a 16 year old (maybe 17 now) who witnessed one parent kill the other and then take their own life. This happened before she was 10. She then bounced around from foster home to care organization to foster home again (lather, rinse, repeat). Today she has been adopted by a good family but rebels at , seemingly, ever opportunity. I think her mind is programmed for instant gratification because she has never had anything in her life show benefits in the long term.
I can see both sides for teens and preteens but really struggle to be empathetic to adults with the "can't blame me " attitude.
