Another of my many favorite artists that are now gone. Jeff Beck playing Drown in My Own Tears with Jools Holland and his orchestra. Magnificent solo guitar! It's amazing to see all the sounds you can make come out of an instrument like that. Starts out sounding cool and laid back but a minute in he starts doing stuff and it has this amazing build throughout the song. Doesn't at all finish like it starts. He was so effortless with it.
Saw Jackson Browne in Grand Prairie about 10 days ago. A great concert in my opinion. Jackson, a bass player, drummer and a fantastic steel guitar playerā¦ and a couple of outstanding back-up vocalists. I told my wife if he is ever in the area again, I would probably pass because it couldn't be any better.
Got a lot of snippets but this is the only whole song I gotā¦. Hope this works!
Jack Nicklaus was tough to beat on the course. In court, though, has proven a different challenge.
A Florida district court judge ruled Aug. 1 that Nicklaus' former partner, Howard Milstein, would retain the rights to Nicklaus' name and likeness, ...
The judge, Robin Rosenberg, ruled that due to a previous decision against Nicklaus, 83, in the New York County Supreme Court on the exact same property Nicklaus' name and likeness he lacked any ability to cede control of the property to Nicklaus, according to the report.
Nicklaus v. Milstein was initially brought to court in a Palm Beach County Circuit Court case in April but was moved to the federal level at Milstein's request.
"[This] doesn't change anything," Eugene E. Stearns, Jack Nicklaus's lead attorney said, according to Sports Illustrated. "We will just be back in Florida State court where it started." <<
