Akron Beacon Journal's Nate Ulrich reports the Browns have terminated TE Gavin Escobar's contract.

Dez Bryant and Jerry Jones will meet on Friday to discuss Bryant's contract situation.
A decision needs to be made on both sides. The Cowboys likely don't want Bryant at his $16.5 million cap number, but Jones also doesn't want to simply cut Bryant. And Bryant probably doesn't want to take a pay cut. They'll try and hammer out a happy medium. If not, then it's entirely possible Jones will have to swallow his pride and release Bryant. They'd ideally get something done one way or another before the offseason program starts next Monday.

The Earl Thomas rumors are flying right now...

The Cowboys declined to offer Dez Bryant a pay cut before releasing him.
Bryant also suggested teammates and coaches played a role in his release: "I won't put no names out, but they know. Jerry Jones, he loved me to death. I honestly believe this was a hard decision for him. But when it's five, six guys against one, you got to do it." The Cowboys saved $8.5 million from cutting Bryant, but his release wasn't just a cap issue. Bryant confirmed he wants to stay in the NFC East. It's possible he'll settle for a prove-it deal.

The Charlotte Observer doesn't expect the Panthers to have interest in free agent Dez Bryant.

The Panthers don't have the cap space to make a run at Bryant. Washington is also not expected to pursue him despite his desire to stay in the NFC East. Injuries and a down 2017 have Bryant's value at a career low, but he should resurface quickly.

He should go somewhere with a quarterback to mesh with his skills. I am not sure he really had one the last couple of seasons.

It's the second NFC East team to pass on him. The Cardinals, Ravens, Bills, and Packers are have all been connected to Bryant. Coming off a down 2017, Bryant may be willing to rebuild his value on a one-year deal.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline reports teams view Georgia OL Isaiah Wynn as the second-best guard in the draft.
Wynn was a two-year starter for Georgia, splitting time between guard and tackle. He doesn't have as high a profile as UTEP OG Will Hernandez, but teams like his athleticism in zone-blocking schemes. Wynn has a chance to be drafted in the late first round.
