If the Cowboys fail to qualify for the Super Bowl next month, it will be despite having the NFC's best quarterback, wide receiver, guard, cornerback, outside linebacker and kicker through the regular season's first 13 weeks.
Or, at least, so say the fans.
Fan voting for the Pro Bowl Games opened last week. On Wednesday, the NFL unveiled the early results. Dallas has the conference's top vote-getter at six positions between Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Zack Martin, DaRon Bland, Micah Parsons and Brandon Aubrey.
The NFL distributed to reporters a list of the league's top 10 vote getters at each position. Seventeen Cowboys players made that cut. From there, where the 17 players stood in the conference could be easily deduced.
Tyler Smith has the NFC's second-most votes at guard behind Martin. Defensive end Sam Williams, as a special teamer, and long snapper Trent Sieg rank second, too.
Running back Tony Pollard (third-most votes in the NFC at his position), tackle Tyron Smith (third), punter Bryan Anger (third), return specialist KaVontae Turpin (third), center Tyler Biadasz (fourth), tight end Jake Ferguson (fourth), cornerback Stephon Gilmore (fifth), and tackle Terence Steele (seventh) round out the list.
