I pick on Dak a lot. He is the QB and he has yet to lead us to the promised land. But with that said, this is pretty impressive:

In the past six weeks, no quarterback has thrown for more touchdowns than Prescott's 14, and he's first with a 308.1 passing yards per game average. Prescott is second in the NFL with 25 plays of 20 or more yards and he tops the league with a 118.7 quarterback rating during this six-week period.

Many critics say Prescott is turnover-prone after leading the NFL in interceptions last season, yet Buffalo's Josh Allen is more apt to lose the ball. Allen leads the NFL with 15 turnovers this season after a league-high 19 last season. Allen also has committed a turnover in his last seven games.

Prescott vowed he wouldn't lead the NFL in interceptions again. After committing 15 last season, he's been picked off only six times through 10 games this season.

Pro Football Focus has Prescott with the No. 1 offensive grade (89.4) ahead of Allen (88.6). When it comes to passing grades, Prescott's 86.0 is third behind Miami's Tua Tagovailoa (89.6) and Allen (86.6).

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said this is one of the best stretches of Prescott's career since McCarthy took over as coach in 2020. In 2021, Prescott had a six-game stretch during which he completed 73.1% of his passes with 16 passing touchdowns and four interceptions while recording a 115.0 quarterback rating.
Dak gets a bunch of sht cause he's Americas QB. That's really it.
I think it's more because he runs hot and cold. When he's on, he's incredible, but he can be soooo bad... that's the part that worries all the fans. We never know when he will go south. The great QBs have bad days but they have learned how to mitigate those days. Short passes, pop ups, no long routes, quick handoffs, etc

Meh, I think his flaws are magnified for the reason I mentioned before.

Winning by cheating is just as impressive as winning fairly, probably even more so. Your opponent was better than you in every way, and you beat them with your brain.

Wonder if Gilmore can play in the slot?
Given his problem covering crossing routes, I would say no. This is why I think we still will be looking for a CB in the draft, but for the slot so we don't have to use a first round pick for that position.

We only possessed the ball for 23 minutes compared to their 37 minutes. Thats a lot of explosive plays

So, linebacker Shaq Leonard is available after clearing waivers this week and it appears Philadelphia and Dallas are rumored to have interest. The Cowboys will kick the tires on Leonard but nothing is close on this. The only reason Leonard is linked to the Cowboys is because linebacker Leighton Vander Esch was lost for the season with a neck injury. But please don't forget Damone Clark, the middle linebacker who recorded seven tackles. Clark was the off-the-ball linebacker when Vander Esch was the middle linebacker. If Leonard is signed, of course, Clark can move back to the off-the-ball position.

Nose tackle Johnathan Hankins isn't known for sacking the quarterback. His job is to play the run and cause problems. But Hankins had two sacks Thursday, the first time he's had multiple sacks since 2014 when as a member of the New York Giants. It was also Hankins' first sack since Dec. 26, 2020, when he played for the Raiders.

Hankins has been playing so good, hard for Mazi to get nearly the playing time I would want from a 1st rounder. If Jonathan continues playing like this, they want to bring him back next year. Not a bad rotational piece with Mazi. I would like to see them together in a 4-2-3 or something like that

he former Colts linebacker isn't the same player he was back when we knew him as Darius, before he told us he wanted to go by his middle name. Before he was Shaquille, he was a three-time, first-team All-Pro, a linebacker so good, so ferocious, he went by "Maniac."

His specialty in his first four seasons? Forcing turnovers. Perfected the punch-out, initiating 17 forced fumbles to go with 11 interceptions. Also averaged 134.5 tackles a season.

But that was before back problems caused pain and weakness in his lower left leg. A pair of surgeries last year didn't help much. Lacking the explosiveness that made him a turnover machine, he lost playing time. He didn't take it quietly, which may have led to the decision to release him. If it wasn't that, it was surely the fact that, by cutting him, the Colts will save $16 million against the cap next season and $50 million in non-guaranteed salary through 2026.

If he's signed, the Colts would still be on the hook for the $6 million he's owed the rest of this season. Otherwise, his new employer would work out its own deal going forward.

If you buy what Pro Football Focus sells, only the Cowboys' Markquese Bell, a converted safety, ranks better than Leonard among linebackers against the run, an area where Quinn could always use help. Leonard may be a two-down linebacker these days, but the Cowboys could still use it, not to mention what he brings beside his ability to fill a gap.

Plus, the Eagles are also after him...

I wish Dak would go to Josh Allen school and learn that he can actually run through tackles. Also I like the way Allen throws his short to midrange passes. A bit short on a regular basis so that his receivers can protect the ball with their body and not give the DB a shot at a INT

Buffalo had all the chances in the world and like they have done in every close game this season, they Buffaloed it.

Philly is barely scraping by against the better teams, aka Kansas City, Buffalo, Dallas and thats all I can think of right now. This is a good team, not great.

"Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says the team has made contact with free agent LB Shaq Leonard, but their level of interest is still being determined," wrote ESPN's Ed Werder on Thursday, November 23. "Team is performing due diligence because Leonard had two recent back surgeries that may be impacting his performance level."

Washington game.

I think the OL played their best game. Biadasz and Steele looked pretty good and Tyron Smith looked like his old self.

Dak is playing at the highest level of his career. He leads the league in touchdowns, passer rating and QBR over the last 5 weeks. I just hope he can keep it up in January.

The receiving core is starting to really settle into itself. Cee Dee doesn't have to do everything for them to be successful. Ferguson and Cooks are doing a great job.

I'm so intrigued by Turpin as a receiver. He's so fast with his straight line speed. I'll be curious to see if he gets more playing time. Maybe twice as many snaps going forward would be nice.

The defense actually got washed pretty good on the ground and through the air but only gave up 10 points.

Bland's record is incredible but it's interesting that he had arguably his worst day of the season up until that point by giving up 122 yds receiving. He does seem to struggle with quick route runners.

Juanyeh Thomas is fun to watch. I'm curious to see if he gets more playing time next year if they move on from Jourdan Lewis.

Stephen Gilmore was good but I thought he could've gotten a PI penalty on the deep route when he grabbed the receivers arm after he got beat but the refs thankfully didn't throw the flag.

The d-line is so much fun. You almost never know who's going to make an impact next. It's just wave after wave of pass rushers.

Both linebackers looked really good as Damone Clark is starting to settle in and Marquese Bell has been a god-send as a converted linebacker.
