Defense bails McCarthy out on that stupid 3rd down call.
That was bizarre. Maybe the Seahawks were too scared to try to block him...UBBY said:
I'll admit I thought Seattle was going to convert when they had trips right with Dallas 5 yards off the line but thankfully they screwed up and left Micah unblocked.

In the first half, Seattle completed 6 of 7 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns when Daron Bland was the nearest defender, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. His previous high in that category this season was 120 yards -- which came last week against Washington.

We saw the same trend from Diggs earlier. Strictly made plays on the ball which led to tons of Ints but gave up tons of yards. One of those route jumps would payoff but the rest left the reciever free.

It's always a danger with ball hawks who are so fast they can make up for a misstep. Everton Walls had a lot of interceptions, but a lot of people in Dallas thought his nickname should be toast.

BF, if we beat the Eagles next week, how does it stand in tie breakers?
Too early to tell. We would be tied head-to-head, and probably in division record. The next tie breaker is common games. We lost to Arizona who Philly will probably beat. But we beat the Jets who beat Philly. Philly has beaten the Dolphins and Bills who we play later in the year. Those will be important games. But if we win out, and Philly wins out except for the loss to us, they would have the next tie-breaker which is conference record. Our loss to Arizona would be the difference. So we really need Philly to drop one to the Cardinals or the Giants (not likely).Assassin said:42-19 Final.BearForce said:GoldMind said:

We would be in first place due to division record from what I have heard.

If the Cowboys beat the Eagles next week, they will move into 1st place in the NFC East based on a better division record (4-1 to 3-1). If both teams finish 14-3, then Eagles would win division based on better conference record. pic.twitter.com/LOgij5QabR
No we wouldn't. We would still be in 2nd place because of conference record.BearForce said:Assassin said:42-19 Final.BearForce said:GoldMind said:

Division would be even
Conference record they would still be ahead of us
This year the NFL put common games ahead of conference record in the tiebreaker procedure. If we beat Philly this week, head to head, division record, and common games would be tied. But we still have to beat the Bills and the Dolphins to even up the common games portion. If we lose to either of those teams, it doesn't even get to conference record (which we lose unless Kyler and the red birds do us a solid). Bottom line, we have to win out and hope Philly loses an additional game with only the Cardinals and Giants left on their schedule.trey3216 said:No we wouldn't. Nope, they would be 3-1 in division and we would be 4-1. As Franko stated, if after Dallas beats Philly, they both run the table, Philly would then have the advantage due to common opponents. Remember, the question was who would be in first after the Philly game if Dallas won.trey3216 said:No we wouldn't. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is out of surgery, and a person with knowledge of the procedure described it as “successful.” McCarthy left work this morning with acute appendicitis. He remains poised to rejoin the team this week and coach in Sunday’s game against the Eagles.
