Sophomore Quarterback Blake Shapen
"I think everything falls behind our offensive line. They're a bunch of veteran guys, they've kind of been through it. They're mature and understand what it takes to get the job done," Shapen said glowingly. "I think us being able to follow their lead … is a huge key in that happening."
Fresham Receiver Josh Cameron
"I'd say it's really high to be honest," Cameron said when asked about the team's confidence levels. "Even in practice today, the energy levels, they were probably the highest it's been ever, this whole season."
Head Coach Dave Aranda
"I don't really bring that up. I have to imagine that all of our guys know that. I just think, whether it is the beginning of the year and feeling pretty full of ourselves when we really hadn't accomplished anything. Or it's in the year, having a win and then feeling pretty full of ourselves after one win. And so, we have a pretty voracious appetite for just good things about us, you know. And so I think to keep the focus just on what's right in front of us, and what we have to do today … I think that has been what we have been doing these last couple of weeks. And so we're hoping to continue to do that."
SicEm365 Analyst Travis Roeder
Texas remains the most overrated team on the planet. They're going to have the same record as us after tonight, and no one thinks this is a great Baylor team.ImABearToo said:
Tcu is second half strong. Ut not so much.

After all that talk about how crap our fans are and how we need to show up, the team and players should be forced to issue a public apology. This is exactly why people don't show up
That wasn't Drones. Shapen has played all game.Fre3dombear said:
I tuned back in just in time To watch Drones airmail a pass to kstates center fielder.
Then the Bernstein bears throwing punches
Embarrassing
Guess it was just all Rhule's players last year.

That was Shapen. Not Drones

Guys, we were averaging 35.7 points per game in Big 12 play coming into tonight.
Tonight was a pitiful showing by all involved. Trying to make it a referendum on Grimes and his offense is silly, particularly when he's having to scheme around his quarterback right now.
We've played seven of nine Big 12 opponents. We're not talking about a sample size error at this point. And TCU's defense is statistically pretty bad. Texas' is better, but it's artificially propped up by a shutout of a QB-less Oklahoma team.Porteroso said:bear2be2 said:

Let's wait for the next games. You can't tell me scoring against cupcakes is what we look to when we consider how well an OC is doing. I have never been impressed with Grimes. And the qb playing like this has to partially be on him.

Is Jaxon Player injured or a flop? He hasn't done anything this season.
he's only able to make 1 progression. it's been the same going back into last season. he just hasn't had enough reps for the position. has the arm. doesn't have the mental or legs.Wacomamabear said:
Is there a chance Shapen has not recovered fully from the concussion? It just seems he hasn't been the same since …

"I just walked into a locker room with 100 of my best friends...I only get to line up behind Apu a few more times, I love him to death...that's hard. I love those guys, I wouldn't rather be on any other team."
#Baylor HC Dave Aranda at the lectern ahead of No. 4 TCU.

He praised the athletic department for promoting the #KState game & apologizes for the performance on the field.
