Our best bet is to maintain that relationship and hope that he gets a beat out at Florida or wherever by the next great five star and keep a seat warm for him here

I don't think we were ever seriously considered. I think his visits were mainly to make the old man happy and just enjoy the recruiting experience which is understandable for him, and from Baylor's POV it's great to be associated with 5* recruits

All the notable QB's who have entered the portal--with experience as QB1's--will make it more difficult for Kyron Drones to market himself, and possibly will increase the chance that he will stay at Baylor.

It seems to be a whole different process with the NIL and the Portal.
Kids with talent play every game in high school, and they are looking for the same.
Can't say I blame them, and I fear the days of sitting behind a 1st string player till your turn are diminishing.

Spencer Sanders is a stud. Would love to see him in a Baylor uniform but I don't think it makes sense unless we decided Shapen isn't the right guys. Besides, I don't see Sanders playing in a conference against OSU. OSU just lot starting LB that is a stud to the portal.

The way the NIL is going, much like our country in many ways, is just stupid and no one will step in a repair it.
