I honestly think that Aranda can create good defensive schemes, but you have to get the talent to campus. I fear that is not in his skill set.

There is no football metric in which RJ falls behind Blake or Sawyer. Except that he was under recruited. His ball placement was nearly perfect on his 2 drives and honestly except for butterfingers and a WR turning his back to the ball on route he would have had 2 TD. Those balls were roped. That's not on the passer.
Martinez has better presence and he knows how to protect the ball when the pocket collapses.
Hopefully Aranda sees the film. We would not have beaten Texas. But we would have beaten Utah and State with RJ.
