I want him gone based on the wide scope of the program. We're 2-2 it's like some of you think we're 4-0. Btw CO is going to be lucky to go 6-6 that's not a good team we **** the bed against.
It's also well documented you and others want to blame the programs shortcomings on everyone or thing but Dave Aranda
I like everyone hope we beat BYU. There's also nothing to suggest we will based on Dave's coaching abilities.

You got that right. Especially when our 2 losses were both competitive on the road.

Whether they were competitive or not is completely irrelevant. Unless of course your one of the "moral victories yay club" I think it's safe to say darn near 100% of this board likes Dave Aranda the person.. Dave Aranda the coach…
We've reached the point in Dave Arandas tenure where the only think that matters is W/L's. The dude is 5-20 in his last 25 games and 2 of those are FCS wins. We haven't beaten a P4 team at home in 2 years. I could keep listing embarrassing facts but I think you get the point. If your a fan that's ok with those things than so be it. But some of us actually appreciate Wins not moral victories. And right now Dave Aranda is a loser. Lucky for him he's got 8 games to put a dent in that narrative.
Edit** I may be a bit off on his record over the last 25 but my point still stands the last 2 plus years have been terrible and there's a clear trend
Can we focus on this season? BU is not firing the guy mid-season, especially in Game 5. We have been competitive in both losses and being competitive on the road does NOT get a Coach fired. We are 1 play from 3-1 with our only loss to #10 on the road. That is not fire the guy world. Lose a few more, have an embarrassing loss, or have a scandal breaking law than you are in fire the Coach now world.

While we still have a competitive, bowl eligible team let's talk about how we win. It is WELL DOCUMENTED your views on Aranda. You want him gone now, got it.

Now, I am going to watch us beat BYU.

Bear2B2 and Iowa have actually been really really supportive of Aranda until recently. I don't buy this "we were one play from being good" nonsense. If that is helping you cope with the state of the team, don't let me get in the way. But it's like me saying that I was a one bitcoin investment in 2011 away from being a billionaire. Who cares.

It's the same people who were pounding their chest last year when Utah was playing like their third string quarterback and second string running back against us. at the end of the day, some people are always going to see a loss as a win. No amount of logic is going to change their view. It's their own way of coping - basically being permanently stuck in the "disbelief" stage of grief. Is what it is. Free message board and all that, and they're allowed to have their opinion however wrong it may be

No need. BU did the same thing they have been doing all year. Better this year, but not enough. It is looking like you are right.

The way I remember it, Rhule took a 7-6 Cactus Bowl winning team to 1-11 in a single season. Absolutely horrific how him taking a dive to rock bottom is still praised and admired by so many here. **** Matt Rhule!

That's only half the story:
2018: 7-6 with win over Vandy in Texas Bowl
2019: 11-3 with great wins over everyone on our schedule except OU, especially a dominate win over the Cows from Austin, and were competitive in both games against OU.

We had Rhule for 3 years, not just 2017. He's not praised tor that terrible first year. Hex praised for what happened in the next two.

"As the bye week begins, Rhule must either reassign offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield to another role or fire him.

Marcus Satterfield is indefensible.

And Matt Rhule is emerging as an enabler to the potential destruction of his Nebraska program and the career of quarterback Dylan Raiola."

Ok so can we settle on a simple thought.

Stop talking about Matt Rhule a and his time at Baylor and we'll stop talking about Art Briles huge success while at Baylor.

True but he was 0-3 against OU in his 3 years and now counting his time at Nebraska his record vs ranked teams is bad.

He did a lot of good things for us (and currently Nebraska) but he just doesn't seem like an elite coach to take a program to the top level, beat ranked teams consistently, challenge for conference titles or spots in the playoffs. But time will tell if that becomes true at Nebraska. For Baylor talking about what he could have done with more time is just speculation that cannot be proven either way.

Rhule was actually 0-4 against OU here. And, according to Pepperidge Farm, his last win against a ranked team was back in 2016. And it doesn't look like he'll get another chance this year.

You're right I forgot we played them twice one season.

I knew he hadn't beaten a ranked team in a while but didn't spend the time to look it up.

He seems like a great turnaround guy but he will have to stay a while at a P4 school to be able to show he is in the top tier of coaches.

And at Nebraska that means that by next year they will expect top 25 wins, competing for a conference title and chance at the playoffs or he might not get a 4th season.

I suggest to not attempt logic or reason with those who are butthurt about Rhule.

Attempts to do so are futile because you won't ever change the core problem, which is butthurt.
