They looked REALLY bad last night against another bad team...at home.

Dare I say, they looked far worse than we've ever looked this season.

Good point. And all of our losses are against the better teams in the league. They were also close so arguably could have been wins.

The first poster there lost me when he said he started at TCU in 85 and chose TCU for their football history. True in 84 they had a decent season if I recall but they were 3-4 wins a season in general from the late 50s up to then and continuing on until the Francionne era in the late 90s.

We do seem to be mirroring each other. Both coaches had spectacular years with players they did not recruit... then things started going downhill.

They should have never hired Briles. That was a massive unforced error by Dykes that will likely cost him his job at TCU.

Maybe I should've said Bill Beall bad. Without looking up the record I just remember when he was their HC they were so terrible that if you didn't at least beat them by three or more TDs, it felt like a loss.

Yeah Shofner at TCU was before my time.

I remember him as a Landry assistant with Cowboys in mid 80s .and head coach of Cleveland in 90

We are not a good team. So he's wrong. Failure to get the little things done-especially when these little things happen repeatedly, adds up to a big thing. And that's 3 years of losing. I'm tired of hearing If this if that. The pumpers have been playing this card for 3 years. And now all you have is one long ass list of IF.

Look at my post. I never said Baylor has a good team. I only said that we lost close games to the better teams in the conference. That is fact.

Theres an option in the middle..last year was a bad team..the eye test and all metrics show this team is better..

But yes..in Year 5 we should not be having the failures we see every week.

That's the problem on these boards..of course I know the odds of us turning it around are slim..but you know what..that's the fun part of sports and being a FAN..I bet most of the doomers and gloomers on here never went to Baylor and are just T-shirt fans from Central Texas...or.. you've never played a sport at a high level in a team environment and faced adversity.

The team hasn't quit and walked off. So why would I as a fan? I'm going hope they pull the upset tonight..and regardless of tonight..I'll do the same in two weeks...doesn't make me a Pollyanna..some of you want us to get blown out every week to justify some weird tribal obsession y'all have.

Just watch the Alabama Vandy game and while I don't think Vsndy holds on, you can clearly see the superior intelligence in both their play calling and ability to motivate.

I grew up about 6 miles from the TCU campus. You're correct Shofner was as bad as Steele. We used to go see all the greats, Campbell, Dickey, Hadn't. 5 bucks and you could sit anywhere on visitors side except for Arkansas or aggy

I have enough reading comprehension to understand that over the course of your many posts, you have been overly apologetic to the trainwreck that is Baylor.
